What is a Career Change Dog? Our professional trainers carefully select our dogs by evaluating them for temperament, health and eagerness to please. They are rescued from shelters where they are at risk for euthanasia. They enter a rigorous training program to become Hearing Dogs for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Not all of our outstanding dogs can meet the demands of becoming a Certified Assistance Dog, thus the need for a "Career Change". They are, however, still winners, and make wonderful pets. Many are already housebroken and some know basic obedience commands. In short, these "near misses" make wonderful companions. We can help match you with a lifelong canine companion.

Tawny

Hi, I am Tawny! I was born on August 18. 2021 which makes me a Leo ♌. As a Leo, I love being the center of attention, with all eyes on me! I mean as it should be, who wouldn’t want to see my gorgeous voluminous, flowy mane, sweet eyes, and beautiful natural balayage? You know, many try to copy but none can replicate these gorgeous colors.

Well, enough about my looks, let me tell you about my likes. I love to play, run in my fenced-in yard while my foster mom watches me, and I like to chew on Nylabones, but most of all I love to cuddle on a lap. I enjoy being with my foster mom at all times. Did I tell you I also love to play with kitties and tiny humans? I just adore tiny humans because all of their attention is on me! I currently have a 4-year-old little girl who visits me. She is so gentle and loves to carry me around.

I am a happy and healthy little girl; I’ve got all my vaccines and have my immunization card to prove it! I am no ordinary dog; I am beautiful and I deserve the world!
